The train departs on our fearless leader's birthday, May 15th. NSD and Mother's Day are approaching as well. We've got a scraption-packed May coming that'll have you saying "Mother May I" in no time!

Full-size, tagger-size, CU, whatever you'd like to make. Sign-ups close May 7th, previews are due by May 13th. The train will leave the party station on May 15th and run through the end of month.

As I'm sure you realize by now, we at Sophisti-Scraps like to be a little bit different and a little big blingy when it comes to our blog trains. That being said, the next Sophisti-Train will pack you up and take you to the marriage capital of the world.

Whooooo! Whooooo! The December Sophisti-Scrap blog train has left the station and we're ready to BLING in the New Year!

Twenty-Seven very talented designers have come together to welcome in 2010 with style - Sophisti-Style that is! (Believe me, these ladies have REALLY outdone themselves!) Get your Bling-glasses on because this is one bright and glittering blog train!

New Year is the glitziest holiday there is. Here at Sophisti-Scraps, we like nothing more than a lot of glitz and glitter! Join us as we "Bling in the New Year" with the latest Sophisti-Train!

This train is open to all designers. You can create full or taggers size - a kit, a sampler, or just an element pack - do as little or as much as you like.

Signups close December 10, 2009. Your preview is due December 13, 2009, and the train rolls out of the station on December 15th, 2009!

We had a blast with the Fangtasia blog train. We expect to have just as much fun, if not more, as we Bling in the New Year!

Vampires are legendary creatures said to subsist by feeding on the life essence of living creatures, generally by drinking their blood. Although typically described as undead, some minor traditions believed in vampires that were living people.

In folkloric tales, vampires often visited loved ones and caused mischief or deaths in the neighborhoods they inhabited when they were alive. They wore shrouds and were often described as bloated and of ruddy or dark countenance. This is markedly different from modern fictional portrayals of gaunt, pale vampires beginning in the early 19th century. Although vampiric entities have been recorded in many cultures, the term vampire was not popularized until the early 18th century, after an influx of vampire superstition into Western Europe from areas where vampire legends were frequent. This increased level of vampire superstition in Europe led to mass hysteria and in some cases resulted in corpses actually being staked and people being accused of vampirism.

The charismatic and sophisticated vampire of modern fiction was born in 1819 with the publication of The Vampyre by John Polidori. The story was highly successful and arguably the most influential vampire work of the early 19th century. However, it is Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula, that is remembered as the quintessential vampire novel and which provided the basis of modern vampire fiction. The success of this book spawned a distinctive vampire genre, still popular in the 21st century, with books, films, video games, and television shows. The vampire is a dominant figure in the horror genre.

Whether your choice of vampires comes from old Dracula legends, or more modern media like Dark Shadows, Interview with the Vampire, the Southern Vampire series or the Twilight series, we want to see your best vampire themed kit.

Traditional or taggers size, personal use and commercial use is welcome!! The train runs from October 15th through the 31st, after that, the kits are yours to do with as you please.

You can contribute one item, a few items or a kit, all are greatly appreciated! Just make sure to place on your previews what size it is - Tagger or Full Size.
